Back from vacation, time for more Black Mesa-On a Rail

Well, I'm back from my camping trip, and while it was fun, I think I've got more mosquito bites on me now than I've ever had at once before in my life, despite the copious amounts of bug spray used. So to distract myself from the awful itching, I'm gonna talk more about Black Mesa.
On a Rail
To be perfectly honest, I think "On a Rail" is one of the more forgettable chapters. Like, sure, it has some important moments towards the end, but by and large, it's just kinda. Gordon rides a tramcar. That's it, that's the chapter.
Of course, my impression of it is still largely influenced by the original in Half-Life, which was much longer. I guess the Black Mesa development team felt the same way about it as I did, and decided to trim it down A LOT, for which I am grateful.
(One thing I do miss from the original, though, was seeing just how much the HECU hated Gordon- there would be a couple times where you would come across, written in the blood of fallen scientists, "SURRENDER FREEMAN" and "YOURE DEAD FREEMAN" and stuff like that on the walls. It always made me laugh.)
Here's a handy tip for anyone looking to play the game: right at the beginning, there's a part where there'll be a barnacle tongue hanging down. If you stop there and look up, you'll see a couple ledges, which, as the subtitles indicate, have a vortigaunt somewhere up there. And there's also a bullsquid. So, to save yourself a considerable amount of trouble- as you will be walking around up there later- just chuck a few grenades up there until you get alien gibs flying everywhere!
