Do I even need to bother with an introduction? Yes? Well, here we are with more Black Mesa, still discussing my favorite chapter, "Questionable Ethics," and we'll start off today with the acquisition of one of my favorite items in the game! Snarks!
This particular snark nest pickup is actually entirely optional- it's in a side room you don't need to go in but for exploration. Or for snark acquisition!
To be perfectly honest, I don't really use snarks that much, especially since they're a lot weaker in Black Mesa than they were in Half-Life. Basically all they do is, once thrown, they run around chasing and biting an enemy for a bit before exploding. But if you don't throw them far enough, or there's no enemy around, they'll chase you instead! And they are actually a pain to deal with when they're attacking you.
So why do I like them? Well, for one reason, I think they're cute! In a ridiculous sort of way. I think they make funny sounds, too.
I also love all their animations!
For the first pick up animation, Gordon kinda plays with it for a second, before

The idle animations are also great. Sometimes the snark will kind of act up in his hand, struggling around a bit, so what does Gordon do?
