Part 26

The drive had been quiet, but it had not been comfortable. Gulf had bitten his lower lip and glanced at Kao, who had appeared to be in a bad mood, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. They had arrived at Kao's place, and without saying a word, Kao had gotten out of the car.
Gulf had knitted his eyebrows, quickly following Kao, who had been walking fast toward the beach.
"P! Wait for me!" Gulf had called out, running to catch up with Kao.
Kao had stopped and turned around, still looking visibly angry.
"P, what was wrong with you?" Gulf had asked, trying to catch his breath.
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you, Gulf?" Kao had raised his voice slightly. He had then closed his eyes, attempting to calm himself down.
"What did I do, P?" Gulf had furrowed his brows. He had never seen Kao this angry before.
Kao had remained silent, taking a deep breath before opening his eyes.
"P..." Gulf had walked closer to Kao.
"Stop. Stop right there," Kao had held his hand up, moving backward as Gulf had tried to approach.
"What? Why, P?" Gulf had questioned, attempting to get closer, but Kao had continued to move away.
"You shouldn't be too close to me right now, Gulf," Kao had shaken his head.
"Why? Why shouldn't I be too close to you, P?" Gulf had asked, his voice filled with disbelief and rising in volume.
"Because then I can't be mad anymore," Kao had said softly.
"Why were you mad at me, P?" Gulf asked.
"It wasn't that I was mad at you, Gulf. I was mad at myself," Kao turned around.
"Why, P?" Gulf moved to face Kao.
Kao closed his eyes for a second before speaking.
"Because I couldn't stop myself from being jealous, even though I knew you were my boyfriend," Kao looked straight into Gulf's eyes.
Gulf's eyes widened. Jealous?
"Jealous of what, P?" Gulf asked.
Kao let out a big sigh.
"Jealous that you kept looking at that woman throughout the workshop. Jealous that you kept smiling at her. You even allowed her to touch you," Kao confessed.
He had thought his jealousy would lessen when they were together, but instead, it had worsened.
Gulf remained silent. All this time, Kao had been jealous of him? How had Kao noticed that he kept looking at the woman? Sure, he had, but that was only because he was jealous of Kao's attention towards her too. Knowing the fact that Kao had been looking at him made Gulf's heart feel lighter. He let out a laugh.
"Why were you laughing?" Kao had knitted his eyebrows.
"I never thought you could sulk, P," Gulf had wiped his nonexistent tears.
"Hmmph," Kao had pouted and crossed his arms.
"P...Don't sulk...She was just my fan. Nothing was going on. Besides, if you had looked closer, you would have known that I wasn't looking at the woman but at you," Gulf had stepped closer.
Kao had been dumbfounded, embarrassed to realize he had been jealous over nothing. He had then straightened his hands and nodded. Gulf had just smirked. Kao looked so cute when he sulked. Gulf had reached for Kao's hand.
Kao had gladly accepted it and pulled Gulf closer. One hand had held Gulf's waist, and the other had held Gulf's hand.
"I'm sorry," Kao had suddenly said.
"For what, P?" Gulf had asked.
"I dragged you too hard just now, didn't I? How could I do that to your smooth skin? I'm also sorry for raising my voice at you," Kao had taken Gulf's wrist and rubbed it.
"It wasn't that hard, P. You don't need to apologize for such a small thing," Gulf had smiled.
"Everything about you is not a small thing for me, Gulf. I'm sorry that I acted immaturely. I should have asked you firsthand," Kao had kissed the back of Gulf's hand.
"I forgive you, P. It was nice to see your jealous face for the first time," Gulf had grinned.
After a few moments, Kao had spoken out.
"So... your eyes were on me the whole time?" Kao had smirked.
Gulf's eyes had widened. He had just remembered what he had said.
"N-No!" Gulf had turned around, wanting to hide his blush from Kao.
"Don't run away... Look at me, please," Kao had turned his head sideways to face Gulf.
"P..." Gulf had avoided Kao's eyes.
"Gulf..." Kao had caressed Gulf's cheek, and Gulf had looked up.
"Just so you know, my eyes also never left you. You're such a beautiful person. How could I look at someone else?" Kao had smiled warmly.
Gulf couldn't hide his smile.
"Cheesy," Gulf had playfully hit Kao's chest.
"Only for my boyfriend," Kao had caught Gulf's hand and kissed it.
They had stayed quiet, lost in each other's eyes.
"God, you're beautiful," Kao had suddenly said.
"P!" Gulf had pulled away. The sweet words had made his heart go crazy. He had then walked towards the car.
"But it's the truth! Wait for me, Gulf!" Kao had smirked before catching up with Gulf.
Gulf woke up in a great mood. Nowadays, he never stopped smiling, probably due to someone.
Suddenly, he received a text from P'Best.
"I heard about the news. If you need anything, call me?" Gulf had knitted his eyebrows. What did that mean?
Gulf had opened his Twitter, only to find out that Kao was trending on Twitter. There were pictures of him and his co-partner holding hands on the way to an event.
Gulf had bitten his lip. He knew that Kao was his boyfriend now, but he admitted that he felt insecure.
"What should I do?" Gulf had sat down on his bed.
What if Kao realized that he never had feelings for Gulf?
"Gosh..." Gulf had closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down. He shouldn't feel this way, but due to what had happened in the past, he couldn't stop thinking about it.
Just then, there had been a knock on his door. With a heavy heart, Gulf had opened it and had been shocked to see the other person.
